First official act of the Cottage Grove village council was to promote Patrolman Eugene Lee from a part-time to full-time officer. Lee's promotion increases Cottage Grove police force to 3 full time officers, including Robert Oszman, acting chief. Hired at a salary of $450 a month, with a 6-month probationary period.
